Poppy Flower Painting

This is the first time I've tried doing poppies. Do you have an idea for how I can improve how I paint these flowers?

    I <3 poppies.

    I don't really know anything about painting. Maybe for the next one, work on composition? My eyes are drawn to the center flower and to the pair on its bottom right. It feels off balanced to me? Maybe I'm just a rule of thirds stickler.

    Good job for your first time :)
